Resources in Hospitality & Marketing

Working in social media and digital marketing can be exhausting. The same can be said for the hospitality industry. They’re both always on and always evolving and place an emphasis on the customer or user experience. They are two industries where people are the core “product” and yet it can be hard to grow in your experience and connections as a professional.

The good news is there are so many incredible resources out there to expand your knowledge and authentically network. I’ve rounded up a few of my favorites for expanding in knowledge and human connection but would love to know what you’ve find helpful as well in the comments.

Organizations

  • Hospitality

    • Hertelier: An online media platform that celebrates and supports women in hospitality. They often host events and panels around the US.

    • Women in Travel THRIVE: A really beautiful organization with a purpose to help mentor future generations and provide resources designed to support the empowerment of women.

    • Later: A social media tool that actually offers great resources for learning and development. They launched a podcast recently called “Beyond Influence” but I kind of refuse to listen to it because it’s hosted by Kwamee Appiah from Love Is Blind, which feels so weirdly off base.
